Potty training success!

Let me preface by saying; If you don't want to read another CRAP story, then don't read on!!
(And let me add, I KNOW my camera sucks! I didn't want to take in my nice one though.)

Boxes and boxes of pull-ups : $150

All the bribes and candy to potty train: $100

Tickets to the Monster truck show : priceless!

After two months of no diapers. We finally found the ONE thing that convinced him to go #2 in the toilet!! MONSTER TRUCKS! It started with a bribe that if he would just do it in the toilet, we would go to the store and buy him a monster truck.

When he finally did it, but I don't think he meant to. He had been holding it in for two days. Stubborn kid!!! We immediately went to the store and he picked out a red monster truck, but in the meantime, he had to tell everyone that he "pooped in the toilet". He even told the babysitter that he "pushed real hard and poop came out and it made mommy really happy she screamed". Kids are honest, what can I say?

Then came the next hurdle. If he didn't have any accidents for 3 days, we would take him to the monster truck show! He was so excited. We watched nothing but monster truck shows for 3 whole days, but it worked!!!

Last night we took him to the monster truck show and Paisley got to stay with Pa and Grandma. We had VIP passes so we went right down to the dirt and got to shake the truck dirvers' hands and got to touch the big trucks.
He was scared at first and kept saying over and over that they were "big monster trucks" and "scary monster trucks", but after the 4th truck, he just wanted to climb in and drive them.

He recognized Bigfoot right away cuz we had only seen him on our shows about a hundred times.
Then we made it to our seats and this was our view!
Practically front row seats as far as Treycen was concerned.

His eyes were glued to those trucks. We bought ear plugs, but had a heck of a time convincing him that he needed to keep them in. You can see them sticking out of his ears.

This is our staple smile-for-the-camera-look. Even Paisley does it. I guess that is what I get for being a photographer.

Rock Star ended up being his favorite truck. He flipped a few times, in fact even once he flipped so hard he landed back on his wheels again. Treycen went crazy every time he tipped over.

Yes, those are school busses they were jumping over. Treycen thought that was pretty cool.
He would scream; "Monster trucks, START YOUR ENGINES!" and he would count down the races; "5, 4, 3, 2, 1, GO!!!" Four hours later, we were exhausted, but he was still glued to the excitement. We finally decided to go when he tried to climb under our feet to lay on the cold cement, but still try to see the trucks. We left around 11:30.
We took some video of his excitement. They are coming soon. So after months of bribes and lots of money trying to figure out what would seal the deal, we finally discovered his love for monster trucks. Expensive, but sooooo worth it!

What a fun time. I am glad our potty training wasn't as hard. Is he potty trained through the night as well? That is a challenge I haven't even tried to work on.
